Have chronic or injury related back pain? It may be time to see a Chiropractor!

Chiropractors use pressure-point therapy and spinal manipulation to help relieve patients from chronic or situation back-related pain. Chiropractors work individually with patients to address any physical pain, using their hands to apply pressure on specific spinal joints to improve movement, strength, and flexibility. The health of the back and spine is directly related to the overall health of the body – so seeing a Chiropractor for back pain may even lead to the relief of symptoms you never thought were related!

For those recovering from a specific back or neck injury or have experienced tedious back pain over time, Chiropractors can provide physical adjustments that may improve discomfort significantly. Note: If you think you have had a back injury, please dial 911 immediately!

What our practitioner experts have to say

Alexandra Trevisan-what is a chiropractor

WellSet: How can your chiropractic techniques help heal the body?

TREVISAN My technique empowers patients using the latest research and critical thinking tools. I help patient’s break down their behaviors and movement patterns in order to create new neural pathways and optimize performance. My chiropractic technique helps bring what I term, “spiritual virtues” to the physical body. Virtues such as introspect and interconnectedness are applied to determine your body’s specific needs. For example, understanding what is causing your pain, and how your daily habits are contributing to that cause; is an essential component of my treatment protocol. Further, understanding that everything within the body is connected is at the basis of my methodology. My approach is unique in that it educates the patient throughout the entire healing process, using thoughts, traumas, and toxins as the primary culprits of dis-ease.

WelLSEt: What can a client typically expect in a session?

TREVISAN In a typical session, one should expect to be asked a thorough history. Questions relating to physical activity levels, dietary patterns, and spiritual practice are all included. After history and assessment are complete, I address the patient’s soft tissue needs with various therapies including Gaston, Active Release Technique, Trigger Point Therapy, and Cupping. I then mobilize and adjust the necessary joint structures. A session is completed with therapeutic exercises as well as homework.
