Written by WellSet | December 22, 2022

Meet Jackie Viramontez, a Master Level EFT trainer, Reiki Master, and author. Her personal journey through anxiety, PTSD, and depression transformed into a commitment to share the most effective tools with others. Her method integrates Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping), breathwork and energy medicine which has been featured in Refinery29, Fast Company, and ENews. When she is not teaching, she is training practitioners and counselors in trauma-informed approaches to healing or exploring Northern California with her filmmaker husband Jake and joy-bubble son, Parker.

Q: What are you most excited about teaching on WellSet?
A: I love the feeling of community that WellSet is bringing together, not just in the student body, but in the team of instructors. Also, I truly believe in the synergy of group work; I know that when we show up fully, log in daily, and commit to our ideal future, some crazy things can happen! It will be an honor to witness students growing personally and professionally, in ways they couldn't have imagined.

Q: How can members expect to feel after taking your classes?
A: You'll turn down the volume on your inner critic and shift from self-criticism to self-compassion. Let's get into a peace jacuzzi, shall we?

Q: What's your morning routine?
A:
I’ve always been a morning person and my morning routine is my sacred time. First, a huge mason jar of lemon water. Then, I’ll  sweat it out with yoga or my obsession: my rebounder trampoline. When the weather’s nice I’ll do yoga or run outside. I have always needed exercise for my mental health! Pre baby, I’d do a short tapping exercise or meditation after my workout, but post baby I combine the two: a walking meditation or tapping while working out (yes it can be done lol!). If bebe wakes up before me, he’ll play around my yoga poses or jog with me in his stroller and giggle along with my weird breathwork noises! Lastly, an ice cold shower blast (which I get through by pretending it’s the ocean) and then a big brekkie with the family. Breakfast always includes homemade hot cocoa with some kind of adaptogen! Movement, mindset and nourishment keeps me SANE.

Q: What brings you joy?
A: Outdoor picnics are my happy place. I love making a feast for people, especially if we are listening to music and near a body of water. Speaking of water: I'm an ocean girl so swimming, kayaking, or paddle boarding will always make my day.
