Meet the Instructor: Ramesh Tarun Narine

By WellSet | December 06, 2022

Meet Ramesh Tarun Narine, a breathwork, meditation and self-massage instructor at WellSet. Currently based in Atlanta but born and raised in Canada, Ramesh is a generalist with strong lateral thinking abilities and a wide range of interests, including yoga, medical massage therapy, and executive wellness coaching. His strong intuition, communication skills and inquiry based processes help WellSet members in evolving their ideas and experiences towards body-mind efficacy and growth. If you're ready to re-ignite your inner passion, cultivate a more positive mindset, or hold space for yourself in the present moment—Ramesh is your instructor! You'll usually find him in teaching one of our morning time slots, but as with all WellSet classes, Ramesh's are also available on-demand.

Q: What are you most excited about teaching on WellSet?
A: Being of service to the community. I've been fortunate to have had many unique experiences and to have studied with some incredible teachers. To be in a position and share what I've learned, helping others increase their capacity for joy while support them in decreasing stress and anxiety is pretty exciting to me.

Q: What brings you joy?
A: I recently became a father. I avoided it for 40+ years of my life. Though it has only been a several months, I am changed in meaningful and profound ways. So I remember a beginner mindset and, with gratitude, cultivate curiosity for who I am becoming.

Q: What's your morning routine?
A: I am committed to practicing my morning meditation because it glues together a general non-reactive state. Using breath and attention, it's possible to cue my body's glands (mediators of chemical function) to charge tissues and cells with vitality, allowing me to have more energy and clarity of focus, as well as helping me to respond to the demands of the day, rather than reacting. And so I remind myself that I am having a human experience and that there are things I can do in order to have more of what I want. My morning routine sets me up for so much of that. I
also remind myself that outcomes are lagging indicators and perseverance can be its own reward.

Q: How can members expect to feel after taking your classes?
A: Relief and empowerment from having greater objectivity for stressors, tools for managing anxiety, and an increased awareness of opportunities present in their day to day.
